This bed is PERFECT for a 3 year old. My husband assembled it in maybe 30-45 minutes by himself. But he is a very handy person so not really a good comparison to the normal time it may take someone. We have it on the lowest setting and even my 1 year old is able to climb onto the bed! It has held a combined weight of maybe 270 with three of us on there lol. It did creak though so definitely intended more for a toddler or small person. I just wish on the frame part where the curlique style ends in two little balls -that the balls were completely solid and not have a little open hole there. But the bed was cheap and well worth the money. I compared it to my friend’s Ikea Minnen beds for her son’s and this one is WAY better in terms of sturdiness. I couldn’t sit on the Ikea beds and feel confident it wouldn’t break. This bed could possibly break in a couple years if we all keep cramming into it for storytime, but for now for my little ones it’ll do! Definitely going to have to get one for my 1 year old when she gets her own bed. Wish it had some gorgeous handrails like the Ikea one but not a big deal! A+
This a beautiful bed ! It was somewhat difficult to assemble because the instructions are not as clear as they need to be and the parts were not all labeled, but we were able to figure it out and got it assembled. It turned out really nice.
Like the bed it is a temporary thing as my poor old dog cannot climb so i got this low bed and a ramp for him as i cannot pick hin up after eye surgery. like that i can add height later. Very pretty bed well made would " NOT : buy again.. Bed is 3 inches wider than my mattress and it (mattress) slides all over the place

We ordered two of these frames. The one for my daughter has worked out great but she is 80 pounds lighter than me. We thought that with the 250 pound limit it would work for me but we forgot to add the weight of the mattress and bedding. Our home is drafty and cold so we have several heavy blankets and the mattress is a very well built spring with a pillow top the weight of it is 85 pounds, with my weight of around 203 pounds, add it up and we exceed the 250 pound limit and the center post bent. Which means my 70 year old husband that just had a heart attack is having to make supports for the middle of the bed. So if you keep under the 250 pounds the bed frame is great, over, sorry.
