VINGLI Swimming Pool Vacuum Cleaner Automatic

This pool vac is amazing 👏 !
I bought this to replace a $600 pool vac (not kidding) that was only 18 months when it fell apart. The Vingli Vac works like a brush on my 8' deep, full sun 365 days a yr south Florida pool! This puppy has super suction and climb my deep pool without falling!

Not only is the vac a superior product, I needed it quickly and contacted Vingli. Their customer support team sped up shipping and it arrived several days ahead of schedule.

I'm not surprised this vac is exceptional. I've purchased products from Vingli in the past that are just as well made as the pool vac.

Over the past 50 years I've had 5 pool vacuums and they all did a fairly good job and most lasted as long as you'd expect plastic to do. I am impressed enough with this one that I'm not only posting a review but am giving it 5 stars! It has a regulator which the instructions said to turn all the way up to start, then if need be turn down until it operates to my satisfaction. I did that and was totally impressed at how fast it went and how much suction power it had! I turned the regulator almost to the minimum it would go just to see the difference. At the lowest setting it sucks better and travels faster than any I've ever had! It picks up dirt and debris, leaves, small twigs and I'm not lying, even a dozen 1/4" stones that paver contractors accidentally got in the pool. I've had 1 very noisy vacuum that had a thing that hit the floor as it worked and 3 that use the diaphragm tube for suction, and these diaphragms always get a split in them that disable the whole thing forcing you have to have a few handy for replacement, (usually you just get the 1 in the vacuum, but this time I got the one already installed PLUS 2 extra diaphragms!). This one, while being the most powerful, is also the quietest! I took a chance as this is an inexpensive vacuum, and am very glad I did!

I had the older version for years. Replaced every two or three just to keep it looking good. Never an issue other than replacing the plenum. This one.... well... it works if and when it wants. Nothing is wrong. Pump suction is fine. It just starts and stops... usually stops. Eventually works it's way around, but while it looks nicer, it sure doesn't work better. Go with the older version.
10-1-2022- Update. They saw my review, reached out and offered replacement. It works PERFECT. Evidently, the first one was defective. This guy chugs around like the original and looks a LOT better in the pool. I recommend them and am a customer for life after this experience. You can buy with total confidence from them!!!

Why I say excellent customer service - I purchased a pool cleaner and after 7 days, it was defective. I notified the company and I sent them a few photos - they replaced the cleaner. They were prompt to my concerns and remedied my situation.

I have used name brand Kreepy Krawlys and no-name cleaners, and I am very satisfied with this product. Assembly was very easy, just a couple parts to slide together. And then I just re-used the hose from my previous pool cleaner and the cleaner worked fine right from the start. As a plus, the cleaner needs less suction power than my previous cleaner so that means more water into the skimmer, so that works better now, too. It is a nice bonus that the cleaner operates silently.

The Amazon ad seems to make it clear that the cleaner is not guaranteed to climb/clean walls, but it does partially climb the walls in my pool (a medium sized kidney bean shaped pool) so it keeps the pool cleaner than my previous system.

The only long term question is how often will the diaphragm need to be replaced in real life. Only been using the new cleaner for two weeks. I am not too worried since even if I use the two provided spares, additional spares can be bought for about $3 each .

So far I am a happy customer.

The first one worked like a charm for its life expectancy. Purchased another and had a problem with it after a few months but it was replace and the service was excellent in getting it handled.

The new blue model has no convenient carrying handle on top anymore, and is thus necessarily somewhat shorter as a result. Insides seem similar. However, still the best value on the market. I broke the last one with the handle, when I put in a new diaphragm and the entire assembly including the hose shuttered violently. I forgot to turn down the pressure on the regulator and I quite literally broke the frame of the old one. You need to adjust the regulator with a new diaphragm until the device just putt-lutts along. As the diaphragm ages, the gap usually gets wider, requiring a more forceful pressure from the regulator to operate properly. A new diaphragm should have the lips either touching or at most about 1/16" separated. One recent diaphragm replacement shipment had the diaphragms with a 3/8"+ separation - completely useless since my old one had about a 1/8" separation and was hardly performing at all. I have a 3/4HP pump and about 12,000 gallon pool. Comes with two diaphragm replacements - all with either closed or less than 1/16" lip separations. I like the 90o pressure regulator - the ones with a straight regulator would be impossible to implement in my pool configuration. Trouble shooting the Vingli is pretty straight forward. Check the pressure drop across the water filter. In my pool and Hayward sand filter, a 6-8psi filter drop is fine; above 12 psi and a back washing is needed. If that doesn't work, bring the beast to the surface and look down the throat. You may have a rock or leaves clogging up the diaphragm. If that is clear, unscrew the tube and pull out the diaphragm. Several times fatigue had created a hole in the side, thus bypassing the lips and creating no putt-putt suction. Have never had the sides split, but have seen it in others. Then check for bubbles in the water return. This can be caused by a hole in the suction line - rubbing the side of the pool is very abrasive, and check the hose piece connections - make sure they're tight. Also relube the pump strainer O-ring and tighten accordingly. That's about it. Vingli's are very simple to use, operate, and trouble shoot.
