For the money this is a great diy project looks great when finished,took about 2&1/2 hours to complete by myself,I just used 2 coats of clear polyurethane and some left over pulles I had from a previous project it really makes it look high quality,I think it turned out really well,fyi don't throw the drawer slides in a pile and mix them together like I did some of the drawers don't slide correctly my mistake,I'm using this for my tv stand so there's a lot of wires behind it,the only problem I have is the back part along the bottom doesn't have a cutout or a hole to put a extension cord through but easily enough to fix over all this was easy to put together instructions was well done everything was labeled well,,drawers are deep and holdes a lot of clothes,this was a good purchase
We wanted small, wood dressers to use as nightstands in our primary suite. They are exactly as described. Beautiful color, very sturdy. My daughter (18) put them together by herself in a couple of hours. I initially thought the drawers didn't align correctly, but you just have to do a final close when pushing them in and they do. They are not heavy, but they are solid. A great value.
I had read all the reviews prior to purchasing 2 of the tall dressers. I am a 64-year-old woman. I had no trouble putting them together. I worked on them both for 2 days and finished them at my leisure. If you follow the directions, they are not hard to assemble. I stained them a dark walnut. They turned out great. Not sure why some people had trouble assembling them. They are sturdy if you put them together correctly. They look good stained or original color. The size was fine for what I needed. Had no trouble sliding the drawers on to the tracks.
It was hard for me to find a night stand that was affordable, real wood, and big enough for storage. This was perfect. Because it was unfinished I was able to customize it and make it the way I wanted. Everything turned out great. I would def buy again
I ordered a wood chest and the carrier delivered it to the wrong address. I notified Vingli-direct and they were quick to respond. They sent me another chest without hesitation even though it wasn't their fault I didn't get the first one. They were very courteous and followed-up with a new tracking number. I promptly received my chest. I would definitely recommend this company and would order from them again.
I found this easy to stain and assemble, but it did take some time.
The instructions say to sand and stain the parts before assembly. This is a good suggestion! However, mine was smooth enough so I skipped the sanding step. I did stain it prior to assembly. It takes stain very well and will require lots of it. I think it needs at least three coats six hours or so apart. I used roughly 24 oz of Minwax Natural 209. It is not quite a clear stain but it is pretty close. The wood comes fairly white in color. The stain brought out all sorts of beautiful reds, browns and yellows that were not visible in the bare wood at all. I think it looks beautiful! I am very glad I used several coats of stain! The results were worth it. Don't forget to stain the drawer knobs too! These really sucked up the stain and required much more than the rest of the dresser.
Assembly was very straight forward and I found it fairly easy. It assembles better and easier than similar veneered particle board furniture. I believe this is because it is real wood. Be careful not to over tighten screws and other parts. This is not necessary and can damage the parts. Snug but not super tight is perfect! Be gentle! Every thing aligned well and assembled flawlessly for me.
Inexpensive real wood furniture is impossible to find! This is a great deal that looks fantastic with a little bit of effort. One cannot buy furniture this nice at this price anywhere else! With that in mind, I suggest keeping one's expectations in check. It is not perfect. There are places where there is wood filler on the outside of the drawers and cabinet where it is visible. A little sandpaper can help minimize the impact of these spots. Nevertheless, I think it looks great and I now have a very nice, inexpensive dresser that looks far better than any veneered particle board furniture I could have purchased as an alternative. I am very pleased with my results and am considering a second dresser!
It was super easy to put together and it looks beautiful in our spare bedroom. We didn't even bother to stain it, the wood was so pretty right out of the box. It's also very sturdy.
I ordered 4 of these and made them with my kids. I had them sand, and pick out a stain they liked then seal and build them. It was quite the project for them but they learned a lot. Assembly was pretty easy, the only bad holes were on the back plate but I didn't need to drill new ones.
We completed the first one 2 months ago and checked and tightened everything up after a week and haven't had an issue since.
Very good quality easy to stain to make it your own.
